Hi everyone,
It's been a few weeks since I've started re-evaluating the future of LWM. As you all know, I've been extremely conflicted about whether I should be carrying on...or attempting to start afresh with a less grand version of the story.
I'll cut to the chase - I haven't really made a decision yet. It's been a struggle.
What is more certain in my heart is that Max and Sarah still deserve one adventure together - chapter 14 (where we are now) sets that up, and I am leaning toward chapters 15 to 17 being that team-up I've always wanted to draw. I want to commit myself to at least that much, and to give readers one more fun ride.
HOWEVER...what comes after that...is not set in stone. I don't know if I'll be able to cope with working life next year...and I don't want to swing back and forth on my commitment to comic-creation if I really can't keep it up. I need time to adjust to another stage of my life, is what I'm saying.
So...what will be happening for the foreseeable future?
1) LWM is targeted to carry on until at least chapter 17 - it's mostly planned out already. That will be 2 to 3 more years of the same silliness...then I will make a decision on what to do.
2) My art will become more experimental as I look beyond LWM - for a majority of the past few years, my art here has mostly been anthropomorphic fanservice or pin-up images for Sarah and Mira...and, while I enjoy those, there is a need to try out new ideas. Whether it be concept art for Silver Slayers or a reboot of LWM, you guys will be seeing more stuff that I don't usually do. I understand that many of you will be uncomfortable not seeing as much cheesecake (so will I) - but my life needs to worth more than just werewolves in swimsuits. I'll still draw silly fanservice now and then...but perhaps not as frequently anymore. I have to learn to move on.
3) I'll post more happy/review journals - I actually got myself a Nintendo Switch since June, and there are a number of good games coming out from the company (Metroid: Samus Returns, Super Mario Odyssey). I feel like there's room for me to post "reviews" again for stuff like TLoZ: Breath of the Wild (which was an amazing 75 hours for me). Back when I posted reviews for really niche stuff like the Solatoro fan books and art books, people really enjoyed reading about stuff that was rarely covered elsewhere. I hope to continue that somehow.
That's all from me, for now. As always, I appreciate all the support you guys have showered on me.
Thank you.
To the future,
Gabriel.

Picking Up the Pieces for 2024
Another 12 months. Another year-end journal. It's time for us to move forward again. Goodbye 2023, you were equal parts enriching and equal parts sluggish. While I haven't been very vocal here, I've had to deal with some things in the background this year. It hasn't all been great. At the beginning of 2023, I had a plan to kick off something xtreme in my art - and I was ready to pour time into making it a reality. However...it didn't really turn out the way I had hoped. I'm not ready to share at length about what happened - but just know that this new idea has been put back into the oven to cook longer. That aside, here's how the year went: Ups: 2023 continued to be a pretty consistent year for my art. I've been gradually learning to do more soft rendering and it's been fun to give my characters more detailed shading/lighting. My art Twitter skyrocketed to around 10K followers this year and I got to link up with a lot of new art friends. As a bonus, I even got to bump shoulders
A Wistful Stroll Into 2023
The clock will soon strike midnight where I'm at, so I guess that's a wrap for 2022. This year was...one where the dust settled for me. A lot of it was spent on overcoming my anxieties and trying to more contented with myself. My resolution at the end of 2021 was to just make it through 2022 as a happier person...and you know what? I think it worked out for once: Ups: I kind of surprised myself with the amount of art I churned out in 2022 (as detailed here). This year saw me posting almost weekly sometimes, with quite a number of commissions completed too. It was an incredibly productive 12 months where I exceeded myself on many levels. Since seeing a doctor to treat my anxiety/depression...I've been getting better. I'm still not fully out of the woods yet, but I no longer wake up with a suffocating dread each new day. I'm actually able to let go of my obsessive thoughts and finally relax for the first time in many, many years. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 was an unexpected surprise

It's finally over! Thank you for all you folks who participated in the raffle (and for the congratulations too). It's my first time doing this, so I'm grateful that everyone was civil with their Jelly-Filled Donuts haha. Without further ado...the winners are: 5 DH200-Official -------------------- 16 yama951 -------------------- 33 thundergod0001 -------------------- I will send you a message about what you want for your raffle soon, so look out for it and think about what you want for your prize art!
December Hiatus
Going to take a brief hiatus to rest up during this holiday season - so don't expect much art during the month of December. I've actually been on a break from my real-life job for the past few months, and I'll soon be returning to the office this week. So I need some space to get used to the daily grind again. It won't be easy. I'll still have something small planned to celebrate hitting 1K watchers though - so please stay tuned. :) - Galajo
