Hey guys! I happened to have some spare time today; so here's another small review/preview!
Before I get started though, I want to make it clear: this book is out of print, and pretty much impossible to get new. I was very lucky to find one last copy floating on the internet for its original retail price. Currently, the only copies out there I know of are pretty much being sold by kind-of scalpers for like 80-100USD! O_o
That being said, I will actually do my best to show you most of this book - DO NOT PAY RESELLERS SO MUCH MONEY.
Anyway, here it is - Solatorobon 3!
Like Solatorobon 4, this came with a few extra goods as well. The first is this "clear" folder:
(Front and back, respectively - littered with little silly chibis of everyone!)
(The colored characters are on the front layer, while their outlines are on the back layer. The effect is pretty neat.)
Also included is a set of post-it notes:
(Front and back respectively - Elh and Chocolat on the back look too sweet~)
(When opened up, Transe Red is inside! Also, more chibi faces of Elh, Red and Chocolat are printed on each post-it note)
Anyway! Let's dive into the book itself! This is a summer edition, so expect-
(-SWIMSUITS DURR HUU HURR. But in all seriousness, the art variety is good - we have calm and vibrant pieces here...)
(...and Alicia with her sisters from Tail Concerto get a nice cameo~ DURR HURR.)
(Here's a very stylish piece - the water colors work well with the setting.)
(The page binding made it very hard for me to take a good pictures, though...apologies...>/////<)
(Next is...I don't even want to know what's going on in the third page. OwO")
(Next is another piece~ Snazzy)
(And of course, a full spread of the cover art! It was difficult to take in full...><")
(A strange 4koma depicting what happens when Red runs out of chew-bones - Chocolat up on the clouds is also hilarious)
(A regular guest's artwork - it looks great, if not slightly messy...)
(And, um...oh my. O///w///O I'll leave you two alone, then...)
Next up is the ONE PAGE that motivated me to stupidly hunt down this book...I saw a blurry preview on some tumblr and got too annoyed to leave it at that. Here it is in full, iPhone, high resolution glory~ (you can always click on the images to zoom in, by the way...)
(The art alone is really nice~ But the comic itself is actually funny - Red discovers the advantages of summer...)
(This next piece looks slightly kiddy; but it's very pretty, as well~!)
That was the guest section, anyway! Next up is the staff section, which is a little shorter...
We start off with the resident artist, WAKA!
His art seriously made this worthwhile, by the way!
(It's always nice to see the official artists do an alternative take on their characters' designs~! The team don some summer gear!)
(Next is a three-page comic by Mamesuke, making some references to a mobile game that was released after Solatorobo...)
(Cham never fails to make the gang look like kitty cats and puppy dogs again~)
(This piece is what the folder is based upon~! Everyone looks so derpy...>///w///<)
(There's a small selection of extra art - this one's of the two announcers who show up from time to time~!)
Next is the omake segment, where the creators basically screw around with alternative character designs...
(Cocona, Flo and Gren have their species switched between felineko and caninu; Meanwhile, Noir and Blanc get gender-swaps~)
(On the next page - Red, Chocolat, Elh, Merveille, Beluga, Opéra and Calua get species-swapped as well!)
Alright guys! That's pretty much all! I left just a few pages that were really not important...personally, I feel quite bad that no one can really get these anymore...>///M///<"
...but I hoped you all enjoyed it! If you ever want a closer look at some of the pages, just drop me a PM, yeah?
Peace out!

Picking Up the Pieces for 2024
Another 12 months. Another year-end journal. It's time for us to move forward again. Goodbye 2023, you were equal parts enriching and equal parts sluggish. While I haven't been very vocal here, I've had to deal with some things in the background this year. It hasn't all been great. At the beginning of 2023, I had a plan to kick off something xtreme in my art - and I was ready to pour time into making it a reality. However...it didn't really turn out the way I had hoped. I'm not ready to share at length about what happened - but just know that this new idea has been put back into the oven to cook longer. That aside, here's how the year went: Ups: 2023 continued to be a pretty consistent year for my art. I've been gradually learning to do more soft rendering and it's been fun to give my characters more detailed shading/lighting. My art Twitter skyrocketed to around 10K followers this year and I got to link up with a lot of new art friends. As a bonus, I even got to bump shoulders
A Wistful Stroll Into 2023
The clock will soon strike midnight where I'm at, so I guess that's a wrap for 2022. This year was...one where the dust settled for me. A lot of it was spent on overcoming my anxieties and trying to more contented with myself. My resolution at the end of 2021 was to just make it through 2022 as a happier person...and you know what? I think it worked out for once: Ups: I kind of surprised myself with the amount of art I churned out in 2022 (as detailed here). This year saw me posting almost weekly sometimes, with quite a number of commissions completed too. It was an incredibly productive 12 months where I exceeded myself on many levels. Since seeing a doctor to treat my anxiety/depression...I've been getting better. I'm still not fully out of the woods yet, but I no longer wake up with a suffocating dread each new day. I'm actually able to let go of my obsessive thoughts and finally relax for the first time in many, many years. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 was an unexpected surprise
1K Watcher Raffle Winners!
It's finally over! Thank you for all you folks who participated in the raffle (and for the congratulations too). It's my first time doing this, so I'm grateful that everyone was civil with their Jelly-Filled Donuts haha. Without further ado...the winners are: 5 DH200-Official -------------------- 16 yama951 -------------------- 33 thundergod0001 -------------------- I will send you a message about what you want for your raffle soon, so look out for it and think about what you want for your prize art!
December Hiatus
Going to take a brief hiatus to rest up during this holiday season - so don't expect much art during the month of December. I've actually been on a break from my real-life job for the past few months, and I'll soon be returning to the office this week. So I need some space to get used to the daily grind again. It won't be easy. I'll still have something small planned to celebrate hitting 1K watchers though - so please stay tuned. :) - Galajo

Does anyone know who the artist is who made that picture with Elh in a dress and Chocalate on a cloud?
